Meet Dr. Ron Manns
Dr. Ronald Manns RN DC has been practicing chiropractic 28 years, 18 at his clinic in Mayaguez Terrace.
He became a Register Nurse in 1987 and worked at the Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX in the cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, and was one of the Transplant team members of the famous Cardiac Surgeon and Pioneer,
Dr. Michael E. DeBakey.
He later attended Western States Chiropractic College, now Western University, in Portland, Oregon and graduated in 1993. Returning home to Canada, he worked as a chiropractor in a multi-disciplinary clinic with Medical Doctors, Medical Radiologists, a Rheumatologist and Massage Therapists all working towards maximizing and improving the health and outcomes of their patients.
He also hosted his own weekly radio talk show where he educated the public on a variety of medical and health issues, interviewing various medical experts and fielded questions from callers.
In 2003 he moved to Puerto Rico, where he has continued to help patients with various musculoskeletal conditions as well as working directly with local Industry providing on site care to employees reducing the rate of injuries on the job and accelerating recovery times of the injured enabling them to return to work sooner.
Dr. Manns utilizes ‘hands on’ manual chiropractic techniques, emphasizes treating the root cause of problems and not just the symptoms, and takes full advantage of the vast expertise of all medical professionals in his community, referring to other clinicians for co-treatment all towards improving his patients’ outcomes.
With a strong medical background and many years of experience, Dr. Manns has become a highly trusted and knowledgeable doctor adopted by the Puerto Rican family.
